WHAT ARE WE UP TO?

Claire Moffat

Claire Moffat

We are very saddened to learn that a former trainee of Level Best Claire Moffat has recently passed away.

We understand it was quite sudden and, our sympathies and condolences are with Claire's family.

Claire was a member of our Seasonal and Artco sessions for many years supported by her carer Tracey.

They both participated in the making of seasonal produce like jams, chutneys, cordials, and the infamous job of pickling onions, and enjoyed painting, model making, and getting stuck into any activity we had on the go. We recall fondly Claire participating in local Gallery exhibitions and a trip we took to Wrabness in the summer of 2015 to see the Grayson Perry House. She also enjoyed our Christmas meals, attended by dozens of trainees and all the staff.

Below is a selection of photos of Claire in her Artco & seasonal sessions at Level Best Art Cafe,
as well as friends and colleagues who knew Claire, examples of artwork Claire did
with assistance and art which was being made and displayed
at the time she was with us.

As a part of our seasonal department, Claire played a part in every stage, from making the produce to packaging and displaying it for all sorts of ocassions.
