Textiles at ArtCo, Level Best Art Café

We made a back pack.  We started by drawing flowers on fabric, and then painting them with fabric paint.  Part of the process involved sewing the outlines of flower petals with our hand sewing machine (generously donated by Franklins Haberdashers  in 2012). We then fashioned the fabric into a tube, and hemmed the top, with a turn over and draw string complete with rivet holes.

Arm straps were sewn on to the back panel, and then a cover to complete the job.
