Reflection: An exhibition of photographs by Sarah Morgan
This month we feature framed photographs by our very own Sarah Morgan (Sass) who works kitchen part time.
Artists Statement
Welcome to my very first photography exhibition, I do hope you enjoy it.
So let me start by telling you about myself.
As you can see my name is Sarah, but most people call me Sass, which I prefer, you’re probably thinking why, well it was a nickname my mum & Dad called me as I was growing up and just got stuck.
Anyway I was born in Lower-Moor, Worcestershire
A daughter popular village policeman and loving mum.
It was such a beautiful place to grow up, beautiful countryside & lovely old building, all full of character & loads of wildlife & such much more.
While growing up, I did dancing, from Ballet to Jazz to contemporary, I was lucky enough at the age of 17 to take my teachers exam, which I passed, but due to an accident, which effected my left leg, I had to give it up.
Over the years, while juggling school and dancing, I started doing photography, those were the days when you had to wait 2 days to see how they turned out, no modern cameras and no mobiles, so if you didn’t like the photo you couldn’t delete it, just a case of fingers crossed.
Anyway I was told I had an eye for it, and was encouraged by my late mum, so I did, now encouraged by my hubby John & my Dad.
I love to taking all kinds I things from Butterflies, Dragonflies, Flowers, Animals, Building, anything that catches the eye, I’m not professional but enjoy what I see and hope you do to.
Thank you for looking at my exhibition. 25% of sales goes to my mum’s charity. Don’t worry if you see a dot by the photo, it just means it’s sold, but prints available, in A4 or A5, framed or unframed & mount or un-mounted, just take one of my business cards [or ask a member of staff] and you can get your very own framed photo.
