Scenes of interest from Henry Linstead (in pen and watercolour)

Scenes of interest from Henry Linstead (in pen and watercolour)

We are very pleased to be hosting the artwork of Henry Linstead, a trainee of ARTCO.

Henry has been recording his favourite restaurants, fish and chip shops and other scenes in and around the Colchester area as well as some "Lost scenes" of the town from old photographs. He works primarly in pencil and pen but is improving his watercolour painting skills and these scenes represent his most recent efforts. He is beginning to populate his scenes and wants to improve his characters. Henry also prefers to work from life and will sketch and paint on location when he can, like his inspiration Charles Debenham (a local legend whom Henry has popularised at Level Best Art Cafe).
