The Imola Pond & Level Best

Trainees from Level Best Art Cafe attend to the Imola Pond in Castle Park every Thursday morning.
 

Below are some snaps of our group planting bulbs earlier in the summer as well as doing our weekly routine, which includes sweeping up any leaves and mess (and disposing of rubbish in the bins) around the pond and the steps, as well as using nets to 'net' out any detritus, plastic rubbish or bread (not good for fish or ducks) from the pond (without netting any fish). We also use large magnets on strings to collect coins that people have thrown in and finally we feed the fish with special bombay mix fish food (provided by Castle Park Rangers) and always like to get a toddler or two involved, if any families are visiting the pond whilst we work.
